Role description
Candidates without Dataiku, Alteryx AND Python will not be accepted.
Data Engineer (Alteryx to Dataiku migration) #1014457
Location: 100% remote
Duration: through April 2027 with high likelihood for extension on other initiatives.
Goal: convert workflows off Alteryx before end of Q1 2027.
Skills Desired:
• Dataiku DSS Development Expertise: Hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing Dataiku workflows, recipes, data pipelines, and automation processes, with the ability to translate existing Alteryx workflows into scalable Dataiku solutions.
• Alteryx Workflow Migration Experience: Strong understanding of Alteryx Designer components, macros, workflows, and ETL patterns, with proven experience assessing, converting, validating, and documenting migrations to Dataiku.
• Python and/or PySpark development within Dataiku. Practical Python experience is very important. Ability to develop scripts/workflows in Dataiku using Python/PySpark.
• Advanced SQL Development Skills: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, aggregations, performance tuning, and data validation to support migration, reconciliation, and reporting requirements.
• Data Integration, ETL, and Data Quality: Experience building end-to-end ETL/ELT processes, performing data profiling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity during migration from Alteryx to Dataiku.
• Testing, Validation, and Migration Governance: Ability to develop migration test plans, perform source-to-target data validation, troubleshoot issues, document solutions, and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Preferred Additional Skills
• Oracle and Relational Database Expertise: Deep knowledge of Oracle databases and other SQL-based data sources (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.), including data modeling, schema analysis, query optimization, data extraction, and integration best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
