Role description
Peak Partners has a Government Contractor client for both the Intelligence and NGA communities, who is looking for a Data/Knowledge Engineer. The ideal candidate will combine strong data engineering and knowledge representation skills with hands-on experience in application development and modern AI technologies.
The job requires an on-site presence at a government agency located in St Louis, MO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy data integration pipelines to support application development and aerospace mission requirements.
• Implement graph databases and graph studio deployments to model complex relationships and support mission-critical use cases.
• Develop and maintain ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic models to enable knowledge representation and reasoning.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualization solutions for technical and non-technical users.
• Collaborate with developers and data scientists to integrate structured and unstructured data sources.
• Apply Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent-based AI solutions to enhance analytics and decision-making.
• Ensure data systems and workflows comply with government security and quality standards.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, documentation, and best practices in knowledge and data engineering.
Required Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance (minimum).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL, or pipeline development.
• Proficiency with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or similar).
• Experience in ontology development and knowledge representation (e.g., RDF, OWL, SPARQL).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana).
• Understanding of LLMs, AI agents, or machine learning frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data engineering and deployment.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices for secure deployment of data solutions.
