They are seeking a DataOps Engineer to join a high-performing technology team responsible for supporting a critical enterprise data platform used by business stakeholders across multiple functions.
This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth.

Position Overview
As a DataOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise data applications and reporting platforms. Working within a collaborative BizDevOps environment, you will partner with product owners, DevOps engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery of data solutions while driving operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, optimizing data workflows, and supporting business-critical applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Enhancement
• Support and maintain enterprise data applications and reporting solutions.
• Participate in application upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues while identifying opportunities for optimization.
Build, Test, Deploy & Release
• Follow established SDLC and ITIL processes using Agile methodologies.
• Support software releases, patches, enhancements, and production deployments.
• Ensure quality and reliability throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Incident & Ticket Management
• Own assigned Level 2 and Level 3 support issues from investigation through resolution.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and data-related issues.
• Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and operational objectives.
Data Integration & Pipeline Support
• Support inbound and outbound data integrations.
• Maintain and enhance ETL and data pipeline processes.
• Monitor data quality, system performance, and operational workflows.
Monitoring & Operational Excellence
• Proactively monitor support queues, application health, and system performance.
• Identify recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
• Participate in outage management and incident response activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with business users, technical teams, and external partners.
• Communicate effectively during planned and unplanned service interruptions.
• Gather requirements and support solution delivery efforts.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational maturity.
Agile Delivery
• Create and manage user stories, tasks, and backlog items.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support ongoing product and platform enhancements.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, reporting platforms, or data solutions.
• Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting data integration processes, ETL workflows, and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data management principles.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and ticket management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms in regulated or highly governed environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with build and code quality tools such as Maven, Ant, SonarQube, or similar technologies.
• Programming experience in Java or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience facilitating workshops, requirements gathering sessions, or stakeholder meetings.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Experience working within globally distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise reporting best practices.
