Dataverse, Power Platform & Dynamics 365 Expert Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Dataverse, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 (D365) Expert to design, implement, and govern enterprise-grade business applications and workflows. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365, with a strong focus on scalable architecture, security, integration, and governance. Key Responsibilities Techno-Functional Analysis • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements • Translate business and policy requirements into Dataverse schemas, D365 configurations, and Power Platform solutions • Define end-to-end business workflows, user journeys, and role-based access models • Act as a bridge between business users, functional teams, and technical developers Dataverse & Data Architecture • Design and manage Dataverse data models including tables, relationships, business rules, and calculated fields • Define data governance, data residency, retention, and lifecycle policies • Implement role-based security, field-level security, and access controls • Optimize Dataverse performance, capacity usage, and scalability Power Platform Development • Build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps aligned with functional workflows • Configure Power Automate cloud flows, approvals, escalations, and background processes • Implement business process flows and complex conditional logic • Design reusable components and environment-aware solutions Dynamics 365 (D365) Configuration • Configure and extend Dynamics 365 modules such as Customer Service, Sales, Field Service, or custom D365 solutions • Customize forms, views, dashboards, and command bars based on business needs • Support case management, service delivery, and operational workflows • Align D365 configurations with regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements Integration & Extensibility • Design and support integrations between Dataverse/D365 and external systems using APIs, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus • Work with REST APIs, JSON payloads, OAuth, and Azure AD authentication • Support integrations with document management systems, identity platforms, and line-of-business applications Governance, Security & ALM • Define Power Platform environment strategies (Development, Test, UAT, Production) • Implement Application Lifecycle Management using Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub • Enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, security baselines, and governance standards • Support auditing, monitoring, and operational support models Reporting & Analytics • Design Dataverse-backed dashboards and operational reports • Integrate Power BI for advanced analytics and insights • Ensure reporting accuracy, data lineage, and consistency Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 • Strong experience in both functional analysis and technical implementation • Proven experience delivering enterprise or government-scale solutions Required Skills & Experience • Microsoft Dataverse data modeling, security, and performance optimization • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) • Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, integrations) • Dynamics 365 configuration and customization • Azure integrations (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus) • REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, Azure AD • Power Platform ALM and governance • Power BI integration and reporting Preferred Experience • Experience working in government, justice, healthcare, or regulated environments • Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or regional equivalents • Experience with GCC sovereign or regulated Azure environments • Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, MB-910, or MB-920 Soft Skills • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills • Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions • High attention to detail, quality, and security • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor teams
