Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data/Visualization Engineer with strong data engineering expertise and hands-on visualization skills. This role requires the ability to work across complex, variant data sources, trace data lineage back to the source of truth, and deliver reliable insights in partnership with key business and leadership teams.
The engineer will be embedded in a highly collaborative environment, working closely with principal engineers, domain leaders (including VP-level stakeholders), software engineers, and finance/cost analytics partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, analytical datasets, and visual reporting solutions.
• Navigate and integrate multiple data sources, ensuring accuracy, quality, and lineage traceability to the source of truth.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and visual analytics that support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including engineering, finance, and leadership teams to deliver impactful insights.
• Work independently to drive technical solutions while contributing effectively to a dynamic and fast-paced team.
• Document processes, data flow, and visualization logic; support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Contribute to automation, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ 5–6+ years of professional experience in:
• Data engineering + Visualization engineering (both required)
• Strong understanding and development experience in Python for data processing
• Proven hands-on expertise in SQL for querying and optimizing datasets
• Experience working in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments
• Building analytical solutions using Power BI
• Ability to trace and analyze data lineage from code to foundational sources
Soft Skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
• Excellent documentation, communication, and knowledge sharing skills
