Role description
We are looking for an experienced DBT Developer / Analytics Engineer to support the implementation of DBT on Snowflake as part of a modern data platform initiative. The role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data transformation pipelines, implementing best practices, and enabling analytics and reporting use cases. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement DBT models (staging, intermediate, and marts) on Snowflake • Develop and optimize SQL-based transformations following dbt best practices • Implement incremental models, snapshots, tests, and documentation in dbt • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics-ready datasets • Establish dbt project structure, naming conventions, and coding standards • Configure and manage dbt environments (dev/test/prod) • Implement data quality tests, freshness checks, and model dependencies • Support performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake • Participate in code reviews and version control using Git • Assist with migration of existing SQL / BI logic into dbt models Project Time will be in HST (noon to 8 pm CST)
