Our Consumer Payments & Credit Card Analytics team is looking for an analytically driven Decision Scientist to transform massive datasets into high-impact business strategies. This isn't just a reporting role; you will be the analytical engine driving decisions across our credit card, peer-to-peer (P2P) platforms (like Zelle), and emerging payment products.
In this role, you will work at the critical intersection of data, strategy, and product. You'll leverage a modern cloud stack (Snowflake), advanced analytics (Python, SAS), and cutting-edge BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, and Sigma) to deliver actionable insights that shape product development, optimize marketing, and enhance the customer experience.
How You'll Make an Impact
β’ Strategic Analytics & Insights
β’ Uncover high-impact opportunities by analyzing complex transaction data to identify growth trends, competitive threats, and new product potential.
β’ Go beyond simple reporting to deliver deep, actionable insights into consumer behavior, digital adoption, and P2P payment activity.
β’ Architect advanced customer segmentation models to power personalized marketing, product personalization, and targeted customer engagement.
β’ Define the "what" and "why" behind our performance, developing and tracking key metrics that measure portfolio health and marketing effectiveness.
β’ Predictive Modeling & Experimentation
β’ Build and deploy predictive models (using Python/SAS) to forecast key trends, measure customer lifetime value, and evaluate campaign performance.
β’ Own the analytical framework for marketing experiments and A/B testing, designing tests and measuring results to drive continuous optimization.
Data Innovation & Visualization
β’ Master our Snowflake cloud data environment, building and optimizing data pipelines (ETL) to ensure data is clean, accessible, and ready for analysis.
β’ Tell stories with data by designing and building intuitive, elegant dashboards in Tableau, Qlik, and Sigma that empower real-time, self-service decisions.
β’ Champion self-service analytics by empowering business users to explore data directly in Snowflake using Sigma Computing.
Collaboration & Influence
β’ Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders in Marketing, Product Management, and Risk, aligning analytical insights with core business objectives.
β’ Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for executive-level stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
Education: Bachelorβs degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Applied Math); a Masterβs degree is a strong plus.
Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in data science, business analytics, or a similar quantitative role.
Skills needed:
β’ Expert-level SQL and hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake highly preferred).
β’ Advanced proficiency in Python or SAS for data manipulation, advanced analytics, and statistical modeling.
β’ Hands-on mastery of BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, or especially Sigma).
β’ Strong foundation in statistical techniques, marketing analytics, A/B testing, and customer segmentation methodologies.
β’ Proven ability to manage and query massive, complex datasets.
