Decision Scientist – HealthTech/Medical Data Analytics & Decisioning

Duration: 7 Months Job Description: • The client is seeking a Decision Scientist to play a pivotal role in shaping commercial and marketing strategy through data-driven decision-making. This role is designed for someone who excels at framing ambiguous business problems, designing analytical approaches, running experiments, interpreting behavioral signals, and translating findings into high-impact decisions. • You will work as part of the Marketing & Commercial Decision Science and Analytics Engineering group, applying a blend of statistical rigor, experimentation, analytical modeling, and business insight. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where they can go beyond analysis to influence strategy, prioritization, and commercial outcomes. • This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about turning data into decisions, leading experimentation programs, and serving as a strategic partner to cross-functional business teams. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business, marketing, and product stakeholders to frame decision problems, structure analyses, and define success metrics. • Build, maintain, and optimize decision-support data pipelines and analytical data models, including work with dbt (Data Build Tool). • Conduct deep-dive behavioral and diagnostic analyses to uncover drivers of user, market, or commercial outcomes. • Build statistical and decision models that explain behavior, forecast outcomes, or guide strategic choices. • Design, execute, and evaluate experiments/A/B tests, using rigorous statistical and causal inference methodologies. • Develop impactful dashboards, decision frameworks, and data stories that influence leadership and shape strategic decisions. • Convert complex quantitative findings into clear recommendations, highlighting trade-offs, risks, and business impact. Required Experience (Mandatory): • 3+ years in Decision Science, Data Science, Product Analytics, or similar decision-support analytics roles. • Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex analysis and decision-oriented data transformations. • Hands-on experience with dbt for analytical modeling within modern data warehouse environments. • Strong grounding in statistics, causal inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (A/B testing). • Proficiency with visualization and decision-support tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. • Demonstrated ability to connect analytical insights to business decisions, influence stakeholders, and drive action. • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills focused on decision-making and strategic implications. • Analytical, structured, curious mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline: Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
