Title : Decision Support Administrator – Advanced Req ID : PR937480-R179855 Duration: 12 months with the possibility of further extension Work Location: Pompano Beach, FL 33069 Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST Description We’re looking for a Decision Support Administrator – Advanced who thrives at the intersection of data, mobility, and real‐world impact. In this role, you’ll transform complex transportation datasets into actionable insights that help improve roadway safety, optimize traffic flow, and support long‐term infrastructure planning. In this role you will identify and interpret data patterns and trends, build data visualization tools such as charts, graphs, and tables for management, ensure the integrity of the data in various ITS systems, and work with stakeholders to establish key performance indicators. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for traffic operations, congestion analysis, and safety metrics. • Develop automated reporting solutions to support daily, weekly, and monthly transportation performance monitoring. • Assist with developing specific Departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. • Assist in the development of Quality Management procedures. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including traffic engineers, traffic operators, and leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Support data‐driven decision‐making for congestion mitigation, safety initiatives, transit planning, and infrastructure investments. • Maintain documentation for decision support, BI solutions, data models, and ETL processes. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across multiple transportation data sources. • This role requires strong technical skills in data analysis, data visualization, and database management. • Provide technical support for existing BI & decision support solutions and troubleshoot issues as needed. Required Qualifications • Ability to develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and data transformations to support analytics and operational reporting. • Ability to develop reports and interactive, user-friendly dashboards, utilizing business intelligence tools like Power BI. • Ability to design and implement data extraction, transformation, and automation workflows using programming languages such as Python and C#. • Ability to gather and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. • Require minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a position directly responsible for the development of associated reports and dashboards, management and dissemination of traffic related data, preferably within an IT or government environment. • Strong analytical, problem solving, and data processing skills required. • Familiarity with transportation systems such as ATMS, ITS infrastructure, and traffic management platforms. • Understanding of GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data. • Provide technical guidance on data best practices, visualization standards, and performance metrics. Soft Skills • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as participating in cross functional teams. • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing client needs. • Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required. • Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve processes while fostering collaboration and delivering value to customers.
