Design Systems Specialist

Design Automation Specialist Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time Contract | Onsite We're partnering with an industry-leading engineering organization seeking a Design Automation Specialist to support large-scale industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining engineering technology, software administration, and automation to improve design workflows across complex projects. What You'll Do • Administer and support engineering design applications, including Autodesk BIM 360 and/or Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D). • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot design software for engineering teams. • Develop and support integrations between engineering applications and other business systems. • Customize and automate processes using Visual Basic, .NET, COM/.NET, and Microsoft SQL Server. • Partner with engineering and IT teams to optimize design tools and improve productivity. • Provide technical support for project teams and respond quickly to critical system issues. • Travel occasionally to support project implementations and business needs. What We're Looking For • Extensive experience administering enterprise engineering design applications. • Hands-on experience with Autodesk BIM 360, Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D), or similar 3D design platforms. • Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting engineering software solutions. • Knowledge of Visual Basic 6, .NET, COM/.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and Windows client/server environments. • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Experience • Consulting or implementation experience with BIM 360 and/or Smart 3D. • EPC, industrial, or large capital project experience. • Experience supporting projects in semiconductor, electric vehicle, battery manufacturing, or data center industries. • Experience working with global engineering teams.
