Dev Ops Engineer needed for a long term contract role with our direct client in Cincinnati
Looking for a local candidate who can work hybrid or remotely and be onsite as needed
This will run until the end of 2026
The main function of a devops engineer is to develop, configure and manage application servers as well as the software that runs on those servers. Job Responsibilities:
• Analyze and maintain system performance.
• Ensure efficient resource usage.
• Work with developers to oversee code releases, create and implement software systems, and analyze data to improve existing systems.
• Ensure that systems are safe against cybersecurity threats.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance. Skills:
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Familiar with software engineering principles
• Familiarity with languages such as Ruby or Python
• Knowledge of databases and SQL
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical field
• 2-4 years experience
