📢 Hiring: Principal Java/Kafka Developer – Westlake, TX (Hybrid) 📍 Location: Westlake, TX (Hybrid – Onsite every other week, 5 days) ⏳ Duration: 6 months (extension possible) 💼 Employment Type: W2 only (No H-1B) 🇺🇸 Eligibility: Open only to U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders who are ready for W2 arrangements. We are seeking a Principal Java/Kafka Developer to join a leading financial services organization. In this role, you will contribute to building and scaling a high-performance fixed income trading platform using modern backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Oracle. 🔍 Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs • Work on high-volume, event-driven architectures using Kafka • Build secure, optimized, and reliable trading application components • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment • Support architectural planning and continuous improvement initiatives • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to coding best practices 🔥 Must-Have Skills 1. Recent hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot/Kafka/Oracle in a trading environment 1. Expertise in multithreading, data structures, streams, exception handling, and high-volume messaging 1. Strong Oracle PL/SQL and SQL query proficiency 1. Deep knowledge of Kafka for event-driven, high-throughput applications 1. Strong understanding of API design 1. Experience in financial services, especially trading applications (highly preferred) ✨ Nice to Have • Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS) • Exposure to Angular or front-end/UI development 💵 Candidate Pay Rate $65/hr (W2 referral only)
