Kafka Developer - Immediate Hire
Location: Woodlawn, MD (Onsite – 5 Days/Week) - Candidates willing to relocate and work onsite are welcome to apply

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Developer to design, develop, and support highly scalable, event-driven data integration solutions for a Federal project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Apache Kafka, distributed messaging systems, Java development, and cloud technologies. This role requires close collaboration with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to build secure, reliable, and high-performance streaming applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Build scalable Kafka Producers, Consumers, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect solutions.
• Develop and support real-time data streaming and integration pipelines.
• Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka clusters.
• Develop microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate Kafka with enterprise applications, databases, REST APIs, and third-party systems.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of messaging solutions.
• Participate in application design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Follow Agile methodologies, DevOps best practices, and CI/CD processes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka development and administration.
• Strong experience building enterprise-scale, event-driven applications.
