AI/Back End Developer (Contract) Overview We're looking for an experienced AI Developer to support the delivery of modern software solutions while helping embed AI-assisted engineering practices across the development lifecycle. This is a hands-on contract role requiring strong full-stack development experience, AWS expertise and an interest in applying AI to improve engineering efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications. • Build and support cloud-native solutions using AWS. • Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery. • Develop APIs and backend services. • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and Infrastructure as Code. • Collaborate with Product, QA and Platform teams to deliver high-quality software. • Drive continuous improvement through AI tooling and modern engineering practices. Essential Skills • Strong commercial experience in full-stack software development. • Experience with React, Angular or Vue. • Backend development using Python, Node.js or Java. • AWS cloud experience. • CI/CD and Agile delivery experience. • Strong understanding of APIs, testing and software engineering best practices. Desirable • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Kiro or similar). • Knowledge of LLMs and AI-enabled engineering workflows. • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). • Experience coaching or supporting engineering teams.
