Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS Cloud Platform & Networking) Location: London (central) Rate: TBC - likely £450–£500 per day (inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months (Starting ASAP) Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week About the Role Our client, a global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Platform and Networking. You’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising secure, scalable cloud environments — ensuring smooth operation and governance across multiple AWS accounts. Key Responsibilities • Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone solutions to build secure, compliant, multi-account AWS environments. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate network provisioning using tools such as Terraform and Ansible. • Security & Compliance: Implement Service Control Policies (SCPs) and guardrails to maintain security and governance. • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts for environment setup and management. • Monitoring & Optimisation: Continuously improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure. • Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of architectures, configurations, and processes. • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, effective cloud solutions. • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to AWS Control Tower and networking configurations. Your Profile Essential Skills & Experience • 8–10 years’ experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps, with a focus on AWS. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Control Tower, CloudFormation, and AWS Services. • Proficiency in networking protocols, routing, and switching. • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). • Solid understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks. • AWS SysOps Administrator or Developer Associate certification. Desirable Skills • Knowledge of identity management and access control in AWS. • Experience with network automation and monitoring tools.
