Our client, is a global leader in veterinary diagnostics and software, is looking for an experienced DevOps professional to help set up, manage, and optimize their GitHub Enterprise environment.
This is a fully remote contract opportunity — ideal for someone passionate about automation, quality code, and collaboration within a fast-paced, innovative organization.
🔧 What You’ll Do
• Lead and support the migration to GitHub Enterprise, ensuring a smooth transition for multiple development teams.
• Administer GitHub Enterprise, including GitHub Actions, Organizations, and Managed Users.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation tools (Flask, Docker, AWS Lambda).
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and other DevOps tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software teams to ensure successful repository and user migrations.
• Improve deployment processes, CI/CD workflows, and environment scalability.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize DevOps pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Document processes and develop playbooks for long-term sustainability
🧠 Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years of DevOps experience (8–10 years preferred).
• Deep expertise in Git, GitHub Enterprise Administration, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong Python development experience (Flask, AWS Lambda, Docker).
• Proven experience with Terraform and automation scripting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills
• Go programming experience.
• Azure Entra AD (Identity & Access Management) and Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Managed User Organizations.
