Role description
Job Title: Contract DevOps Engineer – Snowflake / CI-CD Location: Central London (Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site) Contract: Inside IR35, 6 months (likely to extend) Start: ASAP / May 2025 Overview: Global commodities firm undergoing a major data platform transformation (on-prem to Snowflake) seeks a hands-on DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure for Snowflake and cloud-native data services. You'll work closely with data engineers, architects, and platform SMEs to accelerate delivery. Responsibilities: • Build & maintain CI/CD pipelines (Snowflake + AWS) • Automate infra with Terraform • Implement code promotion, environment management, and security controls • Support dbt model deployment and orchestration • Contribute to scalable, governed AI/ML-ready data environments Tech Stack: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins | Terraform | AWS | Snowflake | dbt | Airflow | Python / Bash | Docker / Kubernetes (nice to have) Requirements: • Proven DevOps/Platform Engineer in data-centric settings • CI/CD & IaC (Terraform) expertise • Snowflake pipeline deployment experience • Strong automation mindset, hybrid infra exposure • AI/ML platform experience is a plus Other Info: • 3 days/week onsite (no exceptions) • Inside IR35 via umbrella • 2-stage interview process • Long-term project (12–18 month roadmap)
