Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months

In this role, you will:
β’ Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
β’ Architect and develop reusable, modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Crossplane.
β’ Design and implement GitOps-driven workflows that enable automated provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure.
β’ Build and maintain self-service platform capabilities that empower developers to manage infrastructure independently through intuitive interfaces and APIs.
β’ Lead the integration of infrastructure automation with tools such as ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Tekton, GitHub Actions) to streamline developer experience.
β’ Define and enforce infrastructure standards and golden paths that promote consistency, security, and scalability.
β’ Collaborate with platform, security, and application teams to align infrastructure automation with business and engineering goals.
β’ Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentor other engineers on best practices in infrastructure automation.
β’ Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of infrastructure tooling and workflows.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
β’ 3 + years of experience with Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane or similar IaC tools
β’ 3 + years of experience with GitOps principles and experience with tools like ArgoCD, Tekton, or GitHub Actions
β’ 2 + years of experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
β’ 2+ years of experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs (Golang, Python) and integrating infrastructure automation into platform services
Desired Qualifications:
β’ Experience with Crossplane or other control plane abstraction tools
β’ Familiarity with developer portals (e.g., Backstage) and CI/CD pipelines
β’ Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
β’ Exposure to image management tools like Packer or Image Builder
β’ Background in building platform engineering solutions that support cloud-native development and service ownership
β’ Knowledge of observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
β’ A developer-first mindset with a passion for reducing friction and improving engineering productivity
