DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer – 12 Month Contract (Outside IR35) Location: Essex (On-site, 5 days per week) Role Type: 12-month Contract, Outside IR35 Day Rate: TBD We’re working with a client who is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their AppOps team on a long-term assignment. This role will focus on supporting and improving a large-scale AWS and Kubernetes environment, ensuring smooth deployments, strong automation, and reliable application performance. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and support cloud infrastructure hosted in AWS • Oversee Kubernetes-based environments and deployments • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes • Support production releases and troubleshoot deployment issues • Work collaboratively with development and testing teams to ensure stable and secure environments Essential Skills & Experience: • Proven experience in DevOps engineering within large-scale environments (ideally enterprise or financial) • Strong background in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, or similar) • Confident with Linux environments and scripting for automation • Familiar with deployment and release management best practices • A proactive self-starter with strong communication and task management skills If you have strong experience with the skill set above, and the role looks like a suitable fit, then please respond to this advert with an updated version of your CV, or feel free to contact me using the information available on my profile.
