DevOps Engineer (outside IR35 Contract) β Remote
β³ Duration: 6-month initial contract, with potential for extension
Tech Stack & Environment
Youβll be working with a modern, cloud-native stack that includes:
β’ Backend / Services: Node.js, TypeScript
β’ Database: PostgreSQL
β’ Infrastructure / Hosting / Edge: Cloudflare (Workers, DNS, CDN, etc.)
β’ CI/CD & Monitoring: GitHub Actions, logging, alerting, dashboards
β’ Cloud / DevOps Tools: AWS, GCP, Azure, or DigitalOcean
β’ Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (or alternatives)
β’ Security: Access control, secrets management, best practices
β’ Testing: Automated testing, performance/load testing
What Youβll Do
As a DevOps Engineer, youβll support our clients engineering team by:
β’ Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
β’ Automating infrastructure provisioning (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
β’ Managing PostgreSQL databases (migrations, backups, monitoring)
β’ Ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
β’ Setting up monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
β’ Supporting safe and reliable feature integration
β’ Participating in incident response and post-mortems
β’ Implementing security best practices
What Weβre Looking For
Must-Haves:
β’ Solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript
β’ Proficiency with PostgreSQL (queries, optimization, migrations)
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
β’ Strong Git skills and understanding of branching/release workflows
β’ Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, firewalls, load balancing, caching)
β’ Interest or experience in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
β’ Ability to write clean, maintainable automation scripts
Nice-to-Haves:
β’ Experience with data integration (APIs, ETL pipelines)
β’ Familiarity with Cloudflare (Workers, CDN, caching rules)
β’ Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
β’ Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
β’ Knowledge of secrets management and security compliance
β’ Experience working in remote/distributed teams
