DevOps Engineer (freelance/contract)

Freelance DevOps Engineer | £500–£550/day | London (2 days/week) Outside IR35 Immediate start We’re hiring a Freelance DevOps Engineer for an immediate 3-month engagement with a leading enterprise client currently scaling their Cloud Native capabilities. This is a hands-on role – we’re looking for a builder, not a manager. You’ll join a small, high-impact team to accelerate delivery and help stabilise critical infrastructure across multiple workstreams. The role • Initial 3-month contract with potential to extend • £500–£550/day (outside IR35) • London-based, 2 days per week on-site • Start: Early November (interviews next week) You’ll be working on: • Cloud platform improvement and delivery acceleration • Data integration and tooling clean-up projects • Infrastructure automation and IaC (Terraform, Ansible) • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm) • CI/CD pipeline optimisation • AWS, Azure, or GCP environments You should have: • Proven experience as a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer • Deep hands-on expertise across AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD • Strong problem-solving ability in complex, multi-cloud environments • Immediate availability and willingness to engage quickly If you’re a contract DevOps engineer who loves solving problems and delivering at pace, I’d like to hear from you.
