

DevOps Engineer (GCP)

• Our client, a successful industry leader in financial services and banking, has an excellent opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to work on a contract opportunity. The DevOps Engineer will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and architecting solutions using GCP services, with a particular focus on GenAI applications. You will be responsible for building and maintaining Terraform modules and have a deep understanding of Vertex AI and its integration with GenAI models.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70 - $85 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.
• Utilize Vertex AI to build, deploy, and manage machine learning models and workflows, with a focus on Generative AI applications.
• Integrate GenAI models into existing systems and workflows to enhance business processes and capabilities.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, GenAI advancements, and features, and evaluate their potential impact on our infrastructure.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on GCP.
• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and experience building reusable modules.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine.
• Strong understanding of Vertex AI and its application in machine learning and GenAI workflows.
• Extensive experience with Generative AI models and their deployment in production environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
Education:
• B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent work experience
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications in GenAI.
