• Role Purpose
The DevOps Engineer 3 will be responsible for providing advanced technical troubleshooting and operational support for large-scale SaaS environments. This role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and continuous integration/deployment to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide deep technical troubleshooting for escalated issues involving complex, large-scale customers.
• Utilize monitoring and reporting tools to analyze the root cause of critical technical issues and implement stable, long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with internal support, product, and engineering teams to resolve issues and drive tasks to completion.
• Lead and improve the operational readiness lifecycle — from design and deployment to continuous enhancement.
• Develop automation tools and operational improvements to enable self-service configurations, accelerate deployments, and improve observability.
• Ensure proper monitoring and metrics are integrated before production deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong full-stack troubleshooting skills, including networking, OS (Debian, CentOS), and web servers (Apache, HAProxy, Nginx).
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, or Nagios.
• Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure, including networking (VPCs, security groups), compute (EC2), databases (RDS), and load balancing (ELB, ALB).
• Hands-on development experience with Python, Java, or Go.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment methodologies.
• Strong documentation and collaboration habits (wikis, issue tracking, knowledge sharing).
• Ability to plan, estimate, and break down project work into deliverable tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex technical details to varied audiences.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
