DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to drive automation, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and cloud infrastructure optimization for our telecom client. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud and container platforms, and a proven ability to lead DevOps initiatives in large-scale, distributed environments. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers supporting telecom applications and network systems. • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for telecom OSS/BSS platforms and microservices. • Collaborate closely with development, testing, and network operations teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (on-premise or cloud-based) to support telecom workloads. • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod). • Monitor and improve system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent tools. • Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for telecom platforms. • Define and enforce DevSecOps best practices including vulnerability management, access control, and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.). • Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs, SLOs, and observability metrics aligned with telecom service-level requirements. Required Skills & Experience: • 10–12 years of overall IT experience, with 4+ years in a DevOps leadership or senior engineering role. • Proven experience in network domain (OSS/BSS, NFV, SDN, 5G, etc.). • Strong hands-on expertise with: 1. CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent 1. Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm 1. Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP 1. IaC Tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation 1. Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch • Good understanding of microservices architecture and API lifecycle management. • Familiarity with telecom-grade reliability and HA configurations. • Solid scripting experience (Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good to Have: • Experience with Telco Cloud, OpenStack, or ONAP. • Exposure to CI/CD for network functions (VNFs/CNFs). • Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. Certifications: AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, or equivalent.
