About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing infrastructure and cloud engineering team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), AWS Cloud Services, and CICD tools (Git/Argo), with a strong understanding of Kubernetes and SecDevOps practices.
This position is fully onsite and offers a chance to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions supporting connected vehicle technology and telematics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS environments.
• Develop and manage CICD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD and Argo CD.
• Deploy, automate, and manage AWS-based production systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and deployment issues in cloud and containerized environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and development teams to ensure compliance with technical and security standards.
• Implement and support microservices deployment on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Write scripts in Python, Bash/Shell, or Go to automate tasks and optimize processes.
• Support the team in adopting new tools, frameworks, and cloud practices aligned with organizational goals.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, code reviews, and peer mentoring.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills):
• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services – IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, etc.
• Proven expertise in Terraform (IaC).
• Solid knowledge of CICD pipelines – GitLab CI, Argo CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Strong experience in Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Skills):
• AWS Services: ECS, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Batch, Cognito, Route 53, Config, etc.
• CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Helm, Docker, Artifactory.
• Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
• Networking: VPC Peering, NAT, Transit Gateway, Istio, Nginx, Consul, Traefik.
• Monitoring & Logging: DataDog, Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, AppDynamics.
• Security Scanning Tools: Prisma Cloud, Xray, SAST/DAST Scanners.
• Scripting & Build Tools: Python, Go, YAML, Maven, Gradle, NPM.
