GCP Cloud Infra Engineer – Contract 💰 Private Day Rate | Inside IR35 📍 Hybrid – 2 days onsite (London, Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, or Edinburgh) 🕓 6-Month Initial Contract | Extension Likely About the Role We are partnering with a key enterprise client to find an experienced GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. You’ll be part of the Public Cloud Platform team, helping to deliver compliant, scalable, and efficient Google Cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities across the organisation. This role suits a hands-on GCP DevOps Specialist with deep Terraform experience and a passion for building secure, automated, and reusable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain GCP Infrastructure as code using Terraform / Terraform Cloud. • Deliver secure, scalable GCP products and reusable templates. • Build automated workflows and tools using Python scripting. • Manage and optimise GKE (Kubernetes) clusters, containers, and Istio service mesh. • Audit and refactor Terraform modules and state files for governance and consistency. • Implement security-focused IaC with guardrails and policy-as-code (Sentinel / OPA). • Enforce GCP Org Policies (IAM, encryption, network, and region controls). • Integrate with CI/CD tooling (Harness, Jenkins, GitHub).
