We’re a distributed team of over 1000 smart, passionate people. We work with Development and Product Management to balance scope, quality, and time to market for our industry-leading SaaS solutions. Our multiple groups include Security, Networking, Storage, Data Center Operations, 24x7 NOC, Systems Engineering, and Application Development. About CES (Cloud Enablement Services) CES is a subset of Cloud Operations focused on delivering tier0 services to Product, Engineering, and SRE teams. CES provides Secrets Management, Privileged Access Control, and Host Monitoring solutions, as well as various support security-tooling services. We partner with Security Infrastructure Operations, Cloud Security Operations, and Security Architecture teams. About the Role We need a capable and amiable engineer who loves learning new technology and using it to deliver sustainable business value. We need you to help drive cutting-edge software platforms on private and public clouds, enabling quicker software development cycles and delivering secure, highly available, and scalable solutions with minimal maintenance. This position demands a broad understanding and solid performance. Expected responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: β€’ Work with multiple teams to design, deploy, and support large-scale clustered software platforms in multiple datacenters and public clouds around the world β€’ Deliver highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations (including FedRAMP, SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) β€’ Integrate diverse technologies in multiple environments to provide monitoring, alerting, and reporting of performance and costs β€’ Work in an agile operations framework, balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance impact and communicate findings for ongoing improvement β€’ Work with third-party hardware and software vendors to recommend solutions and drive performance/cost efficiency β€’ Perform SRE roles including deployment, capacity management, observability, and performance tuning β€’ Support our CI/CD solutions involving Terraform Enterprise and GitHub Enterprise β€’ Support engineering teams who will be migrating from deprecated services, and onboarding to new platforms. β€’ Write, review and deploy code in Python, GOLang, Terraform, among others as needed β€’ Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience or capability in the following areas: β€’ Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience β€’ 3+ years of experience with Linux, including large scale OS deployment and automation β€’ Experience in public cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS preferred) β€’ Experience in operating secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault preferred) β€’ Experience operating privileged access tools (Teleport preferred) β€’ Experience using orchestration, automation and configuration management solutions (Jenkins/Terraform/SaltStack) β€’ Experience deploying a modern monitoring stack (Prometheus/Grafana preferred) β€’ Experience maintaining DNS infrastructure (bind preferred) β€’ Ability to recommend, design, build, and support complicated solutions at scale β€’ Understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and related technologies β€’ Knowledge of software version control systems and release management (Git preferred) β€’ Proficiency in operating and supporting cloud-based services using IaC (infrastructure as code, Terraform) β€’ Proven experience as a systems administrator or service reliability engineer β€’ Experience with CI/CD processes and source control mechanisms (GitHub) β€’ Solid understanding of cryptography including x509 certificates β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication About Our Ideal Candidate: β€’ Passionate about designing and supporting complex IT systems while also being able to run day-to-day infrastructure operations.
