DevOps & Snowflake Engineer (Insurance Sector)

Robert Half is recruiting for a Devops & Snowflake Engineer from an Insurance industry for a 6 months contract. • • This role is inside IR35 Paye) • • Location: London (Hybrid) Contract: 6months likelt to extend Start Date: ASAP Day Rate: inside IR35 paye The Role Security & Compliance • Implement and manage RBAC (role-based access control), SSO, MFA • Ensure data encryption and masking standards • Enforce security policies and compliance requirements Automation & CI/CD • Automate routine administrative tasks • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar) • Enable reliable deployment of Snowflake SQL scripts and stored procedures Monitoring & Troubleshooting • Set up monitoring and alerting for platform health & performance • Act as first point of contact for pipeline and operational issues • Maintain Artifactory certificates • Resolve Snyk and SonarQube vulnerabilities • Support networking-related troubleshooting (nice to have) Collaboration • Work closely with Data Engineering and Networking teams • Serve as the key liaison to resolve pipeline and infrastructure challenges Platform Administration • Administer Snowflake across Dev, Test, and Prod environments • Manage accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, and database objects • Oversee secrets management and RBAC role hierarchy • Drive database change management and reporting requirements Performance & Cost Optimization • Monitor and optimize query performance • Manage warehouse sizing • Proactively control credit consumption and storage costs Must-Have Technologies • Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tools) • SQL • Snowflake • DBT • Database Change Management (DCM) tools if this is of interest please apply or send cv to taryn.seidle@roberthalf.co.uk
