Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer – AI Media Streaming (GStreamer)
Location: Hybrid (Bellevue preferred)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (with long-term transition enablement)
Team: IntentCX Program – OpenAI 611 Voice
Overview:
IntentCX program is transforming the customer experience through advanced AI-driven automation and contextual intelligence. A core component is the OpenAI 611 Voice initiative, enabling intelligent virtual assistants within the customer call path for mission-critical billing and support use cases.
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer who will support and enhance our Python-based GStreamer media pipeline — used to stream G.711 audio from Oracle SBCs into an OpenAI WebSocket environment. This role provides Tier 3 production support, ensures performance stability, and enables knowledge transfer to internal FTEs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24x7 production support coverage for a real-time AI media streaming pipeline
Troubleshoot and resolve issues for SIP/RTP audio routing and GStreamer components
Maintain and enhance Python-based code (~2K LOC) across low-latency streaming services
Ensure high availability, observability, and system resilience for 5 Key Flows (mission critical)
Partner with Cybersecurity for endpoint validation, compliance, and secure routing
Drive automation, CI/CD deployments, monitoring alerts, and release readiness
Lead structured upskilling of internal T-Mobile engineers on GStreamer & media streaming stacks
Build and maintain operational documentation and support runbooks
Must-Have Skillset:
Core Tech Skills: Strong Python development experience, including real-time streaming and socket programming
Media / Voice Streaming: Hands-on experience with GStreamer, SIP/RTP, and G.711 codec handling
Systems & Networking: Linux admin skills, packet analysis, buffering/jitter/latency troubleshooting
CI/CD & Ops: GitLab pipelines, infrastructure support, environment readiness validation
Security / Compliance: DevSecOps mindset with secure integration practices for production traffic
Observability: Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and incident response best practices
Support Coverage: Comfortable operating in high-availability environments with on-call rotation
