A new opportunity has arisen for a Digital Transformation Project Lead to support the rollout of digitalisation initiatives within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment. The role focuses on improving efficiency, modernising processes, and embedding innovative digital tools across key production and operational areas.
The Role
As a Digital Transformation Project Lead, you'll manage and deliver digital projects that enhance capability and performance across the plant. Working with cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, and IT, you'll identify improvement opportunities, deploy new systems, and ensure alignment with the site's wider digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of digital transformation projects across multiple production areas.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to design and implement new digital tools and processes.
• Use data analytics and visualisation to drive efficiency and inform decision-making.
• Manage project plans, budgets, risks, and governance activities.
• Support the rollout of new digital systems and the decommissioning of legacy tools.
• Contribute to achieving annual Digitalisation Route Map milestones.
About You
Essential
• Strong background in project or programme management within engineering or manufacturing.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience with data analytics or data visualisation tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and data flow in operational environments.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work autonomously.
Desirable
• Experience with Skywise, Power BI, or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or Apps Script for automation.
• Understanding of AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), or similar digital technologies.
This position would suit someone with a mix of technical understanding, process improvement experience, and strong project delivery skills who's looking to play a key role in a site-wide digital transformation journey.
