Role description
About the role:
You thrive on bringing clarity to complexity—and take pride in making the ever-evolving digital landscape feel seamless, strategic, and actionable for both teams and clients. Working hand-in-hand with client service, strategy, analytics, and leadership, you step into a position of authority and guidance—ensuring that every campaign effort is intentional, integrated, and driving measurable impact.
On a perfect day, digital and traditional channels are working in harmony. Teams are aligned on approach. Clients feel confident in the strategy. Execution is precise. Optimization is continuous. Education is ongoing. Partnerships are strong. Innovation is constant. And the work isn’t just performing—it’s outperforming.
Your primary job is to ensure that our digital thinking is not only sharp, but fully connected—fueling the kind of integrated marketing that delivers on our promise to bring the THINKing that drives TRAFFIC. This is a contract role with the opportunity to convert to full time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Media strategy & investment
• Develop and own comprehensive media strategies across digital, programmatic, social, search, video, audio, and traditional channels
• Lead media planning and buying, including RFP development, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management
• Allocate and manage media budgets across client accounts with full P&L accountability
• Monitor campaign performance and drive data-informed optimizations to maximize reach, efficiency, and ROI
• Stay ahead of emerging media trends, platforms, and technologies—bringing forward-thinking recommendations to clients and internal teams
Channel integration & campaign execution
• Ensure all marketing channels—paid media, SEO, email, social, content, and CRM—operate as a unified, integrated system
• Develop integrated campaign briefs and oversee execution across channel specialists to maintain message consistency and brand cohesion
• Manage the campaign calendar across multiple client accounts, aligning timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Identify and resolve channel conflicts, sequencing gaps, or attribution issues across complex multi-channel campaigns
Client-facing leadership
• Serve as the senior media and integration point of contact for key client relationships
• Present media strategies, channel plans, and performance reports to client stakeholders
• Translate complex data and channel dynamics into clear, compelling narratives that drive client confidence and decision-making
• Contribute to new business pitches by developing media and integration frameworks for prospective clients
Data, analytics & reporting
• Collaborate closely with the agency’s analyst to define reporting needs, align on KPIs, and ensure the right tracking and measurement frameworks are in place across all campaigns
• Review and interpret analytics outputs—translating performance data into clear strategic recommendations for clients and internal teams
• Head up the optimization feedback loop: use reporting support to identify what is and isn’t working, then direct changes to media mix, targeting, creative, and channel strategy accordingly
• Foster a test-and-learn culture—working with analytics to structure experiments, evaluate results, and systematically scale what performs
Team leadership & development
• Directly manage a digital media buyer, with the expectation of growing and shaping the media team over time as the agency scales
• Set clear goals, provide hands-on coaching, and build a collaborative team culture grounded in accountability and craft
• Partner with creative, account management, and analytics to ensure integrated, insight-led campaign development
• Establish and continuously refine agency processes, tools, and best practices for media and channel management
What we’re looking for:
Experience
• 7–10 years of experience in media strategy, integrated marketing, or agency-side campaign management
• Proven track record leading media strategy and buying across digital and traditional channels
• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships at a senior level, including executive-level presentations
• Prior experience managing and developing team members
