Summary:
The Director of Enterprise Data Integration & Analytics is a hands-on technical leader responsible for developing DHA’s integrated data environment, connecting and streamlining data across multiple Agency systems. This role designs and implements enterprise frameworks for interoperability, integration, analytics, and information sharing across platforms, including Yardi ERP, RentCafe, Paycom, Salesforce, and related operational tools.
The position leads personnel engaged in data planning, collection, processing, integration, analysis, visualization, and dissemination, ensuring data-driven execution aligns with DHA’s mission. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Director partners closely with IT teams, business units, operations, and vendors to deliver modern, high‐quality data solutions and analytics that drive operational excellence, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Essential Functions
Integrated Data Environment & Enterprise Architecture
• Design and implement enterprise data integration frameworks that connect, manage, and streamline data across Yardi, RentCafe, Paycom, Salesforce, and BI platforms.
• Develop patterns for API integration, ETL/ELT, data synchronization, operational data stores, and cross‐system interoperability.
• Ensure data flows, dependencies, lineage, and pipelines support efficient Agency operations across construction, housing, finance, HR, and customer service processes.
• Lead intelligence data integration, interoperability, and information-sharing efforts within the agency.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise data architecture, metadata management, semantic modeling, and system-of-record governance.
Visualization, Analytics, and Business Intelligence
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, composite models, dataflows, and KPI reporting environments.
• Develop operational KPIs, performance scorecards, automated reporting pipelines, and real-time dashboards supporting Agency operations.
• Build lightweight applications, tools, and Power Apps to streamline data capture, workflow automation, and reporting processes.
• Partner with SMEs and operational teams to validate requirements, refine metrics, certify datasets, and deliver business‐ready solutions.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, documentation, and training for all BI and reporting solutions.
Data Engineering, Pipelines & Automation
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, schemas, and data pipelines for analytics and operational workloads.
• Implement automation using Python, PowerShell, C#, or integration tools to support KPI extraction, data processing, validation, and monitoring.
• Oversee data quality routines, exception reporting, reconciliation processes, and error-handling workflows.
• Partner with IT teams to monitor system performance and ensure compatibility with hardware, network, and security standards.
• Use feedback from users and system behavior to drive iterative improvements to data pipelines and reporting tools.
Implementation, Change Management & Operations
• Lead or support UAT, pilot programs, and go-live activities for data systems, integrations, and new analytic capabilities.
• Support vendor evaluation and selection of integration platforms, BI tools, and data services.
• Develop and deliver training (in-person and virtual) for business users, analysts, and operational teams.
• Monitor adoption, gather feedback, and execute continuous improvement cycles.
• Assist teams with configuration, testing, validation, and rollout of cross-system integrations or enhancements.
Security, Governance & Compliance
• Ensure data practices comply with DHA, HUD, federal, and privacy/security regulations.
• Oversee governance guidelines for data access, entitlements, retention, and data sharing.
• Work with Infrastructure & Security teams to secure data pipelines, Power BI assets, databases, and APIs.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead, coach, and develop staff involved in data engineering, integration, analytics, visualization, and reporting.
• Collaborate with application teams (Yardi, Paycom, Salesforce), operations, finance, HR, customer experience, and executive leadership.
• Advocate for enterprise-wide data standards and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Act as a hands‐on subject matter expert for the most complex data modeling, integration, and visualization initiatives.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Knowledge
• Deep expertise in Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, Paycom, Salesforce objects, reporting structures, and API frameworks.
• Strong skills in Microsoft SQL Server, including T‐SQL, data modeling, views, procedures, indexing, and optimization.
• Advanced Power BI experience (Power Query, DAX, semantic modeling, DirectQuery, RLS/OLS, dataflows).
• Proficiency with integration/ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Boomi, or Snaplogic.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, C#/.NET, and scripting for automation and data transformation.
• Understanding of metadata management, master data, governance frameworks, and system-of-record definitions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and modern data pipeline architectures.
• Experience with Git and documentation best practices.
Skills & Abilities
• Ability to architect and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable data solutions across multiple systems.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills across databases, APIs, and BI tools.

Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• 7–10 years of experience in data integration, analytics, data engineering, or application data ecosystems.
• 3–5 years of experience leading data, BI, analytics, or integration teams.
• Experience supporting Yardi, RentCafe, Salesforce, or Paycom integrations strongly preferred.
