Role Overview
This role leads the end-to-end application lifecycle for device activation platforms within the Telecom domain. The Senior Lead will architect, develop, and optimize activation workflows for cable modems and other DOCSIS/SONU devices. The position requires deep expertise in Telecom network systems, strong hands-on development experience, and the ability to integrate cloud-native solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Architect and develop device activation solutions for DOCSIS/SONU platforms, ensuring seamless provisioning of cable modems and related devices.
β’ Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of activation applicationsβdesign, development, deployment, and maintenance.
β’ Integrate and enhance ACS Adapters and related provisioning systems.
β’ Build and optimize cloud-native applications using AWS and Kubernetes.
β’ Manage high-performance distributed systems and activation workflows.
β’ Work closely with network engineering, backend development, QA, and operations teams.
β’ Troubleshoot activation failures, network flow issues, and provisioning defects.
β’ Ensure compliance with Telecom standards and security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Telecom & Network Expertise
β’ Strong experience in DOCSIS, SONU, cable modem activation, and provisioning flows.
β’ Solid understanding of Telecom network architecture, cable plant, and cable device lifecycle.
Development Skills
β’ 8+ years as a hands-on software developer.
β’ Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, backend development, and scripting.
Cloud & DevOps
β’ Expertise in AWS services including:
β’ EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
β’ Proficiency with Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments.
Integration Skills
β’ Proven experience integrating ACS Adapters, TR-069/TR-369, and device management platforms.
Nice to Have
β’ Experience with cable MSO systems.
β’ Knowledge of large-scale activation tools and orchestration systems.
