Role description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Duck Creek Business Analyst with experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Duck Creek products. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and external partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support implementation and enhancement initiatives across Duck Creek Policy, Billing, or Claims platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Duck Creek implementations and enhancements
• Work with stakeholders to understand underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims processes
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories
• Participate in workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions
• Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure business requirements are properly implemented
• Support configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities across Duck Creek applications
• Create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, and gap analysis documents
• Coordinate with QA teams during SIT and UAT phases and assist in defect resolution
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and organizational standards
• Provide production support and assist in troubleshooting functional issues
Required Skills
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience with minimum 2+ years in Duck Creek platform
• Strong understanding of Duck Creek Policy, Billing, or Claims modules
• Experience in P&C Insurance domain
• Knowledge of insurance lifecycle including quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong requirement gathering and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and data mapping concepts
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand platform
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis
• Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• Prior experience working with cross-functional and offshore teams
• Insurance certifications or Duck Creek certifications are a plus
