Job Title: Dynatrace Engineer
Position Overview
The Dynatrace Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Dynatrace solutions to monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and user experience. This role works closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system reliability and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and manage Dynatrace platform components (Managed/SaaS)
• Monitor application performance, infrastructure, logs, and user sessions
• Analyze performance issues and provide root cause analysis (RCA)
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports for business and technical teams
• Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Configure synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring (RUM)
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for monitoring setups
• Automate monitoring tasks using APIs and scripting
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance
• Ensure best practices in observability and monitoring strategy
Required Skills
• Strong experience with Dynatrace
• Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud environments
• Experience with Linux/Windows administration
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, or PowerShell)
• Knowledge of networking concepts (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container monitoring
• Experience with log analytics tools (Splunk, ELK)
• Dynatrace certification (Associate/Professional)
• Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices
