6 month contract - Investment Banking
Inside IR35 - £625-£750
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst is responsible for managing the delivery of key functionalities of our electronic trading applications. The key responsibilities include:
• Writing actionable specs for their project, and ensuring all assigned developers have understood what needs to be done;
• Assisting and coordinating application development and implementation among development teams;
• Writing test plans and organising UAT phases;
• Executing functional and non-regression testing of the end-to-end service, including automated and manual testing;
• Documenting new functionalities and training users;
• Closely interacting with business and other quantitative research and IT teams in developing new features in the electronic trading platform and also in assisting them in the investigation of issues (e.g. post-event analysis, performance and scalability, latency reduction)
• Gathering continuous intelligence on the product's performance, customers, problems and opportunities; and initiating functional improvements to meet changing customer needs;
• Leading by example: ensuring that own behaviour as analyst exhibits the team's values of dedication, commitment and transparency at all times and under all circumstances;
• Stimulating and advocating Digital transformation throughout the entire Fixed Income organisation.
Skills And Qualifications
• Top academic background in economics and/or engineering
• Strong knowledge of fixed income instruments, and associated trading workflows: Government Bonds, Interest Swaps, Repos, Futures and options
• Knowledge of fixed income electronic trading venues and associated dataflows : market, static and trade data
• Significant prior professional experience in support, business analysis, project and/or product management, either at a financial institution or a software house
• Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written (other languages advantageous)
• Innovative with a "start up" mentality
• Active interest in design of system architecture
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Any prior experience with scripting, debugging or software development is a welcome plus.
• Pragmatic approach to ensuring delivery on a timely basis
