Role description
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Employee Data Specialist to join their team! This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Duties:
β’ Manage the involuntary and voluntary separation process with a focus on equal parts compliance and employee experience
β’ Coordinate, compile, and deliver documentation requests from our legal partners
β’ Primary point of contact for any employees with questions regarding their last day of employment
β’ Manage the work authorization program for the US, including vendor management, auditing for accuracy, and compliance checks
β’ Maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
β’ Work in close partnership with the Recruitment and Payroll teams via cases
β’ Conduct audits of employee data in Workday
β’ Work collaboratively to ensure the greater teamβs goals are met, stepping to take on additional tasks to get the job done
β’ Support standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics
β’ Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies company wide
β’ Assist in the training and on-boarding of new Employee Data Specialists
β’ Mentor junior members of the Employee Data team
β’ Act as a point of contact for issues that arise in the absence of the team's manager
Desired Skills/Experience:
β’ 3+ years previous experience in Human Resources
β’ Previous experience resolving data issues within an HRIS - Workday preferred
β’ Ability to manage a high volume of employee cases
β’ Strong professional verbal and written communications
β’ Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines
β’ Comfortable dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters
β’ Microsoft Excel proficiency - VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.
β’ Formal process improvement training
β’ Prior experience as an HR Generalist
β’ Prior experience in a centralized HR department or shared services organization
β’ Experience with case management systems and Workday
β’ Experience working effectively in a virtual team environment
