Role description
Endur ETRM Business Analyst – PnL & Market Risk Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite per week) Contract Length: 12-Month Rolling Contract Start Date: ASAP Overview We are seeking an experienced Endur ETRM Business Analyst to support a leading energy trading organization in Houston. This role will focus on the analysis, enhancement, and optimization of Endur's PnL and market risk functionality, working closely with Front Office, Risk, Trading, and Technology teams. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Endur/Findur, commodities trading workflows, and PnL calculations, with particular emphasis on PnL Explained, PnL Detail, Delta calculations, Delta Exposure, and Market Manager functionality. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary Business Analyst for Endur PnL and market risk initiatives. • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Trading, Risk, Finance, and Operations stakeholders. • Support and enhance Endur functionality related to: PnL Explained, PnL Detail, Delta Calculation, Delta Exposure Reporting, Market Manager • Investigate PnL discrepancies and perform root cause analysis across trading portfolios. • Collaborate with traders and risk managers to ensure accurate valuation and exposure reporting. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams. Support UAT activities, test planning, defect management, and production releases. • Work closely with Endur developers and technical teams to implement system enhancements. • Ensure data integrity and consistency across risk, valuation, and reporting processes. • Participate in system upgrades, configuration changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Experience • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within commodity trading environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Openlink Endur ETRM. • Deep understanding of: PnL Explained • PnL Detail • Delta calculations • Delta exposure reporting • Market Manager • Strong understanding of market risk concepts and trading lifecycle processes. • Experience working directly with Front Office, Risk, and Trading stakeholders. • Ability to analyze complex trading and valuation data. • Experience creating business requirements, functional specifications, and process documentation. • Strong SQL and data analysis skills. • Preferred Experience • Experience supporting Power, Gas, Crude, Refined Products, LNG, or other commodities trading businesses. • Knowledge of Endur risk engines and valuation methodologies. • Exposure to Endur implementation, upgrade, or transformation projects. • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
