Role description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join a dynamic and collaborative team focused on delivering cutting-edge operational technology solutions within a large-scale energy environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to multiple capital projects, bringing near real-time operational data from new generation sites into an Enterprise PI ecosystem. The individual in this role will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery, encompassing OT/IT data integration, Asset Framework data modeling, PI Vision development, and the distribution of OT data to third-party systems. Working within an Agile framework, this person will serve as a key contributor and team representative in project meetings, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality operational data is seamlessly integrated into the IT environment while developing processes that support efficient data utilization and analytics. Responsibilities • Lead and deliver end-to-end Aveva PI solutions across multiple capital projects, ensuring seamless integration of near real-time operational data into the Enterprise PI ecosystem • Perform OT/IT data integration using industry-standard integration protocols and real-time data management practices • Develop and maintain Asset Framework data models and analytics to support operational insights and reporting • Design and build PI Vision data visualizations to enable effective data consumption by stakeholders • Facilitate the distribution of OT data to third-party systems and subsystems • Participate in daily Agile stand-up meetings, providing updates and addressing task-related questions or concerns • Represent the team in project meetings and discussions, communicating progress and technical solutions to stakeholders • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions • Develop and document processes that facilitate efficient data utilization and analytics across the organization Skills • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with end-to-end Aveva PI platform, including both server-side and front-end components • Proficiency in highly available server-side Aveva PI architecture and configuration • Experience with Asset Framework data modeling and analytics development • Expertise in PI Vision development and data visualization • Solid understanding of real-time data management and OT/IT data integration protocols • Familiarity with scripting and coding in support of PI solutions and automation • Knowledge of cloud technologies, with a preference for experience with Aveva Connect • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences • Proven ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Experience • Minimum of 5 years of in-depth, hands-on, end-to-end experience with the Aveva PI platform is required • Demonstrated experience delivering PI solutions in a capital project or enterprise environment • Background in the energy or utilities industry is preferred Qualifications • Relevant certifications in Aveva PI or related operational technology platforms are preferred This is a truly exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of operational technology and data analytics within a forward-thinking energy organization.
