Engineering Analyst III (IBM Maximo) Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Month Contract Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Analyst III to support asset management and maintenance operations through data governance, analytics, and system administration within IBM Maximo Asset Management. This role serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of asset and location data while delivering actionable insights that support business objectives and operational excellence. The successful candidate will leverage strong analytical capabilities, enterprise asset management expertise, and data visualization skills to optimize asset performance, improve maintenance effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities β€’ Manage, maintain, and validate asset and location data within IBM Maximo Asset Management to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. β€’ Gather, prepare, transform, and upload data from multiple sources into Maximo, ensuring compliance with established data standards and governance practices. β€’ Map source data to Maximo structures and perform quality assurance reviews to verify data integrity. β€’ Review engineering drawings, technical documentation, and asset records to support accurate asset hierarchy and data configuration. β€’ Analyze asset and maintenance data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement. β€’ Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, KPIs, and performance metrics using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other reporting tools. β€’ Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and IT teams to identify reporting requirements and improve business processes. β€’ Support preventive and corrective maintenance initiatives through data analysis, predictive insights, and reliability-focused recommendations. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve Maximo-related data issues while providing ongoing support to system users. β€’ Assist with system upgrades, configuration changes, data migration activities, and process improvement initiatives. β€’ Automate data collection, reporting, and workflow processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. β€’ Provide user training and guidance on data management practices, reporting tools, and Maximo functionality. β€’ Support asset lifecycle management initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. β€’ Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, asset management, maintenance systems, or enterprise asset management environments. β€’ Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms. β€’ Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI. β€’ Experience with data extraction, cleansing, validation, migration, and reporting. β€’ Working knowledge of asset management principles, maintenance processes, reliability methodologies, and asset lifecycle management. β€’ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with the capability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality data standards. β€’ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience supporting industrial, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or engineering organizations. β€’ Knowledge of predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and asset performance management practices. β€’ Experience with workflow automation, data governance, and business intelligence solutions. β€’ Familiarity with system integration, data conversion, and enterprise reporting initiatives.
