Engineering Analyst Houston, TX $36 - $40/hr Contract + full benefits Summary The Engineering Analyst serves as the primary steward of asset and location data within the organization's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) environment. This role is responsible for maintaining data accuracy, supporting asset lifecycle management, and delivering analytics that improve maintenance, reliability, and operational performance. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams, the Engineering Analyst manages asset data within IBM Maximo, develops reporting and performance metrics, supports system enhancements, and provides actionable insights to drive data-informed decision-making. Responsibilities • Maintain and manage asset and location records within IBM Maximo, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards. • Gather, transform, validate, and import asset data from multiple sources into Maximo. • Perform data audits and quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve data integrity issues. • Review engineering drawings, technical documentation, and asset records to support accurate asset hierarchies and location structures. • Extract, analyze, and interpret asset and maintenance data to support operational and engineering initiatives. • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics using tools such as Power BI and Excel. • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams to define data requirements and improve data governance processes. • Investigate and resolve Maximo-related data issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. • Support workflow automation, process improvements, and reporting enhancements to increase efficiency and data quality. • Generate insights and recommendations related to asset performance, reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and predictive maintenance initiatives. • Assist with Maximo upgrades, system configurations, data migrations, and continuous improvement projects. • Provide user support, training, and guidance on data standards, reporting tools, and best practices. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. • Experience working with IBM Maximo or a comparable Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable insights. • Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI. • Experience with data validation, data cleansing, data migration, and quality assurance processes. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • • All applicants must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship of any type.
