Engineering Analyst III Contract Duration: Contract through 07/05/2027 (High potential for extension) Location: Houston, TX 7779 Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday Work Hours: Core hours 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM with flexibility for start and end times Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Data/Engineering Analyst III to join our Asset Management team in Houston, TX. This role supports a critical function responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving asset data within Maximo to ensure maintenance operations have accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. The ideal candidate will combine strong data analysis capabilities with asset management experience, leveraging tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python to drive reporting, identify data gaps, and improve operational efficiency. This individual will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and support regulatory compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Analyze, maintain, and improve asset data within the Maximo platform to support maintenance and operational activities. • Review engineering drawings and related documentation to validate and update asset information. • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into asset and maintenance data. • Perform data quality assessments and gap analyses to identify missing, inaccurate, or non-compliant data. • Collaborate with engineering and asset management teams to ensure accountability and accuracy of asset records. • Enhance existing data loading processes and SQL-based automation workflows to improve efficiency and scalability. • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline data management activities using SQL and/or Python. • Support reporting initiatives that measure data quality, compliance, and operational performance. • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo (required). • Experience in Data Analysis, Asset Management, or related analytical roles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, gaps, and process improvement opportunities. • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python (at least one required; experience with both strongly preferred). • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI. • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction, or Engineering industries. • Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical documentation, and asset-related data. • Experience with data automation, ETL processes, and process optimization initiatives. • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to asset and maintenance data.
