Engineering Lead (Digital Platform | APIs, Cloud, System Integration)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to guide a small, high-impact development squad delivering capabilities for a unified digital platform within a large enterprise healthcare environment. This role sits at the center of complex system integration, spanning EHR platforms, CRM systems, web applications, mobile applications, and APIs. You’ll lead both technically and operationally, driving delivery, shaping architecture, and ensuring high-quality engineering output. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership across delivery, code quality, and cross-team alignment. What You’ll Do Technical Leadership & Delivery • Lead a cross-functional squad across EHR, CRM, web, mobile, and API development • Drive architecture and design decisions for a unified digital platform • Translate product requirements into technical plans and delivery commitments • Own sprint execution, estimation, and production readiness Hands-On Engineering & Quality • Contribute directly to engineering efforts • Lead and perform thorough PR reviews • Enforce standards for code quality, testing, and security • Leverage AI tools and agent-based workflows to improve engineering productivity • Champion CI/CD, automated testing, and observability best practices Cross-Team Collaboration • Coordinate dependencies across multiple engineering squads • Align on architecture, API contracts, and platform standards • Mitigate risks tied to external dependencies Product Partnership • Partner with Product to define scope and priorities • Provide technical guidance on feasibility and tradeoffs • Ensure delivery aligns with business and user needs What You Bring • 7+ years of software engineering experience • 2+ years in a technical leadership role (Lead, Architect, or similar) • Experience integrating enterprise systems (EHR, CRM, web, mobile, APIs) • Strong background in distributed or cloud-based architecture • Experience leading PR reviews and enforcing engineering standards • Experience managing cross-team dependencies • Agile delivery experience Nice to Have • Experience with EHR platforms (e.g., Epic) • Experience using AI-assisted development tools • Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments What Success Looks Like • Predictable, consistent delivery from a high-performing squad • High-quality, scalable code supported by strong engineering practices • Effective coordination across teams • A resilient and scalable digital platform Apply If you're a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex system challenges and driving real delivery impact, apply today!
