Duration: 12 Months Employment Type: Contract (W2) Market Rate About the Role EY is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to lead multiple software engineering teams within the AI Ready Data Portfolio under Applied Innovation. This role combines 50% leadership and 50% hands-on engineering, requiring someone who can drive engineering strategy while actively developing AI solutions, reviewing code, and mentoring teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Azure, Python, React, .NET, and DevOps, along with proven experience leading enterprise engineering teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams. • Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with portfolio goals. • Collaborate with program and portfolio leaders on project planning and delivery. • Establish and enforce engineering best practices and code quality standards. • Drive AI-first software development initiatives across the SDLC. • Design and develop AI Agents, AI Skills, and AI Harnesses. • Build applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI). • Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality software delivery. • Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and GitHub repositories. • Build and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. • Promote AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and Factory AI. • Drive innovation through AI demonstrations, showcases, and proof-of-concepts. • Coach engineers and support professional development. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience managing software engineering teams. • Experience leading multiple engineering teams in enterprise environments. • Strong hands-on software engineering background. • Experience implementing AI-first development practices. • Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI. • Strong expertise with: • Microsoft Azure • .NET Framework • Python • React • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Factory AI). • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Passion for innovation and emerging AI technologies.
