Role description
Position: Enterprise Business Analyst
Client: Banking
Location: New York, NY 10020
Duration: 3 months of contract + possible extensions
Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite/ 2 days remote, per week
About the Team
The Credit Portfolio Management (βCPMβ) team is responsible for managing enterprise credit risk across the Corporate and Investment Bank. The team sets firm Risk Appetite and executes portfolio stress testing, concentration risk management, identification of emerging risks, and comprehensive industry credit analysis. CPM provides early warning and proactive monitoring for obligors and sectors utilizing various market indicators to support Credit Risk Management decision making across the bank.
CPM is organized into four pillars:
β’ Portfolio Management, including Risk Appetite and Concentration Limit setting
β’ Stress Testing & Monitoring
β’ Industry Research
β’ Data Management and MI
Summary
Credit Risk Management is seeking a business analyst to join its Data Management & MI function to support analysis and governance responsibilities for expanding the credit risk information system. The information system includes exposure monitoring, credit workflows, transaction data, and referential information. The system is planned for expanding to include all regions and businesses globally.
The business analyst will have the following responsibilities as part of the project:
β’ Partnering with IT, project management teams, and various global Risk and IT departments to ensure the global project scope is on track, documented, and defined with Credit Risk requirements.
β’ Documenting existing and proposed system data flows, including conveying the system roadmap for senior management and global stakeholders.
β’ Managing technical requirements for data sourcing and standardization across systems, regions, and jurisdictions.
β’ Proposing policy and procedure enhancements as new regions onboard the system.
β’ Maintain involvement in system testing, working with users globally to ensure the system meets expectations.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree with major in Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Economics preferred; advanced degree (MBA) or CFA is a plus
β’ 5+ years in the financial services industry, with exposure to enterprise level project management
β’ Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project management, including cross-functional collaboration, and project governance
β’ Prior experience with technical data sourcing initiatives
β’ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
β’ Focus on attention to detail and proven successes in documentation efforts
β’ Experience across project management methodologies and workflows
