Enterprise Data & Analytics Engineer

Contract Rate: $80- $120 per hr

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support enterprise data platforms within a fast-paced technology organization. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, enterprise-grade systems that enable data-driven solutions across the business.
The Data Engineer will design and deploy data platforms, automate infrastructure, and ensure high availability and performance of systems and applications. Responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting production environments.
This role partners closely with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and design technical solutions that align with operational needs. The Data Engineer will participate in agile ceremonies, support QA and testing efforts, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across data projects.
Required Skills:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
β’ Experience with ETL processes and tools
β’ Strong SQL skills
β’ Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
β’ Experience with Big Data or distributed systems
β’ Programming experience in Java and/or Python
β’ Experience with scheduling and orchestration tools
β’ Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
β’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
β’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus/Soft Skills:
β’ Experience with IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools
β’ Experience building real-time data pipelines
β’ Exposure to search technologies
β’ Experience supporting production environments
β’ Familiarity with agile methodologies
β’ Strong organizational and project management skills
β’ Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
