Enterprise Engineering Platforms Leader Employment Type: 6 Month Contract to Hire Work Arrangement: Onsite Overview We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Engineering Platforms Leader to define and execute the strategy, roadmap, and operational excellence for enterprise engineering systems and desktop application platforms. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring engineering technologies remain secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives while enabling high-performance engineering and project delivery outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in engineering application ecosystems, enterprise architecture, platform operations, vendor management, and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environments. Key Responsibilities • Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for enterprise engineering applications and platforms. • Lead the lifecycle management of engineering solutions including architecture, deployment, optimization, support, and sustainment. • Ensure engineering systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology standards. • Drive operational excellence through incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives. • Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and software vendors to evaluate solutions and develop implementation strategies. • Manage relationships with key software providers including Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, AVEVA, Esri, and other engineering technology partners. • Oversee application packaging, deployment, and maintenance activities for engineering workstations and desktop environments. • Collaborate with procurement and business teams on software licensing, vendor contracts, renewals, and application rationalization efforts. • Ensure third-party service providers meet established service levels, KPIs, and operational expectations. • Lead and mentor a team responsible for engineering platform delivery and support. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise engineering applications and technology platforms. • Experience managing desktop, cloud, SaaS, and hosted engineering solutions. • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, systems integration, and cloud technologies. • Experience with software deployment and application packaging technologies, including SCCM. • Knowledge of ITIL service management practices and ServiceNow reporting. • Experience leading technical teams and large-scale enterprise initiatives. • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to work with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting engineering application ecosystems including Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, AVEVA, Esri, or similar platforms. • Experience within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), or related industries. • Background designing, building, and supporting enterprise design and modeling environments. • Experience translating vendor-recommended architectures into enterprise-standard solutions. • Knowledge of CAD, CAE, BIM, and digital engineering workflows.
