Role description
We are seeking an ERP Applications Analyst to lead technology initiatives for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams across Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid environments, ensuring seamless delivery of mission-critical IT initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, governance oversight, and vendor management, while maintaining compliance with VDOT and VITA standards. This individual will serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals with agency objectives and delivering measurable value to the Commonwealth. ERP Applications Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Pre-Go-Live Preparation (October) Support end-to-end testing for ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Integrations). Validate role assignments, workflows, and segregation of duties. Assist with mock cutover activities and data migration validation. Log, triage, and escalate issues to Implementor or Oracle SRs. Develop/review job aids, quick reference guides, and training materials. Validate cutover checklists, provisioning, and approval workflows. Post-Go-Live Hypercare & Stabilization (November – January) Serve as Level 2 support for ERP tickets (access, workflow, transaction errors). Troubleshoot integration errors and workflow bottlenecks. Escalate critical defects to Oracle or Implementor teams. Monitor scheduled jobs and file transfers; reconcile data between ERP and external systems. Support user adoption, develop FAQs, and respond to recurring β€œhow-to” questions. Identify training gaps and recommend reinforcement sessions. Expertise and/or Relevant Experience: Required Skills - ERP Applications Analyst M1. 4+ years experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (must be product-specific). M2. 3+ years functional ERP knowledge (GL, AP required; AR, Procurement preferred). M3. 4+ years end-user support experience, including L2 troubleshooting. M4. Strong understanding of ERP workflows, integrations, and role configurations. M5. Ability to work directly with business SMEs and IT teams to resolve issues. M6. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skills - ERP Applications Analyst D1. Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Procurement modules. D2. Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. D3. Oracle Cloud Certifications (Finance/Procurement).
