Role description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Voice Engineer to support global DOD NOC operations located in Scott AFB, IL. This role is part of a long-standing contract and offers growth opportunities for engineers eager to deepen their expertise in voice infrastructure and secure network operations. The Enterprise Voice Engineer will bring a solid foundation in routing and switching (Layer 2/3), strong Cisco experience, and a genuine interest in expanding into voice technologies. Responsibilities for the Enterprise Voice Engineer include: β€’ Support and sustain voice network backbone - maintain and troubleshoot secure IP voice infrastructure across Juniper and Cisco platforms, ensuring high availability and performance β€’ Routing, switching, and network operations - implement and optimize layer 2/3 configurations, monitor traffic flow, and resolve network anomalies across voice and data environments β€’ Voice protocols and SBC integration - work with SIP, SBCs, and trunking protocols to support secure voice traffic.
