Job Summary:
We seek EPIC-Certified Senior Developers with deep expertise in the Beaker (laboratory information system) and Bridges (interface engine) modules to support a critical integration initiative at our client. This role involves building and maintaining interfaces, ensuring seamless interoperability between EPIC and external systems, and supporting clinical workflows related to lab operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between EPIC and third-party systems using EPIC Bridges and HL7 standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
• Support ongoing lab workflows and ensure data accuracy within EPIC Beaker.
• Troubleshoot interface issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to lab operations.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Participate in validation, unit testing, and deployment of integration components.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Qualifications:
• EPIC Certification in Beaker and Bridges (must be current).
• 5+ years of EPIC development experience with a focus on integration projects.
• Strong experience with HL7 messaging standards and healthcare interoperability.
• Proven track record of supporting EPIC Beaker workflows, including lab orders, results, and specimen tracking.
• Hands-on experience with interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Mirth).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory or with lab operations.
• Familiarity with additional EPIC modules (e.g., Orders, Willow).
• Background in healthcare IT consulting or hospital systems integration.
